“Revenue” is just wordplay.

The American people are sick and tired of all the gamesmanship and wordplay that takes place inside the beltway.  Unfortunately, many of us are too busy to follow the debt debates taking place and follow it through soundbites and headlines.  We are always needing to adjust to new catch phrases that never mean what they sound like they mean.  The newest one is “revenue”.

The government obviously needs more revenue, but when you hear the liberals use the word “revenue”, they mean “higher taxes”.  When they say “higher taxes on the rich”, they mean “higher taxes on the job creators”.  The President today said the Republicans are against raising more revenue for the government.  That is absurd.  It is quite simple how to generate more revenue.  As Marco Rubio stated, “New taxpayers.”
