Those who plan on voting should be responsible enough to do a little research. This 13 minute video is a good place to start. Those who have been paying attention know that this video could have easily been much longer, but they did a good job of editing it down to capture the attention of the inattentive.
This is the best the right-wing can come up with? A 13:30 minute info-commercial that has been edited down to capture the attention of the inattentive by removing all of the context? It is nothing more than whining from those who already dislike Obama. Obama said he was going to be more transparent and he has been. But he is not being transparent enough for the right-wing. He has made what appear to be contradictory statements on health care and taxes. But it is only without the context for each statement that this might appear to be true to the uneducated and inattentive. But then again that is the purpose behind propaganda to “capture the attention of the inattentive” with misleading, manipulated and false information to persuade them to a predetermined opinion.
It is to capture the attention of the inattentive in hopes that some will research the context. Once the context is understood, they’ll be inclined to vote against Obama. There is no guarantee that Romney will be the answer, but it is clear that Obama is part of a larger problem of corrupt government officials.
G, you and I both know, as do the makers of this video, that if someone has been “inattentive” to this point they will not take the time to research the content. The goal is to get them to accept the content as if it were fact.
Dan
To some degree I believe that is true. I think many go from inattentive to barely attentive the closer we get the election. Of course, with most media outlets supporting the Democratic Party’s agenda, the inattentive are subjected to misinformation in fits and starts all the time – a headline here, a news teaser there, etc. The hope is some who are not very knowledgeable on the issues, but consider themselves Obama supporters, will like listening to Obama speak – and be reminded just how much the man lies. He’s the typical politician. He went to Washington and became a part of the problem.
