“If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.”

Listen DC, the American people are tired of the double-talk.  We know the Tea Party want no additional revenue  tax increases (yay!) and/or debt ceiling increases (yay!), but enough Republicans will concede on something.  Too bad. A temporary deal to continue the talk is better than a long lasting deal that does not fix our problems.  The liberals claims large scale agreements that call for votes six months or a year from now “kicking the can down the road”, but all of their plans are truly that.  Their plans do not fix anything, just cover it up past the next election.

The Tea Party is holding the line in a courageous fashion.  As Thomas Paine said, “If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.”  That is exactly that framework that we should be operating from.  This can not continue.  Our debt is increasing so rapidly that it must be addressed at the root.  We keep wanting to address the symptoms of it, but not the root cause.  The fundamentals of our country are what are up for debate and I encourage everyone to chime in.
